396 A Rare Encounter of “Forgotten Disease”

Abstract With the advent and prompt use of antibiotics after throat infections, rare entity Necrobacillosis has almost disappeared in clinical practice. Here we present a case fit well 27-year-old lady who was brought into A&E with septic shock, DIC MODS initial diagnosis sore 4 days ago which treated by oral antibiotics. She found to have bilateral patchy consolidations later became necrotic cavities, empyema thoracis, peritonitis abscess cavities abdomen evolving splenic abscess, prolonged QT ectopics type 2 respiratory failure. resuscitated, intubated, transferred ICU. an isolate Fusobacterium necrophorum from blood culture Meropenem, clindamycin metronidazole were started. However, over next few treatment, lack response prompted changing, surgical drainage abscesses chest abdomen. Eventually considerable period abdominal about 3 weeks other followed Piperacillin tazobactam for another patient recovered sepsis stepped down ward. This though is good example benefits patients collections. A rapid weaning only results re-collection deterioration, or recurrent collection as happened this patient. Lemierre's syndrome depicts difficulties faced due formed condition.
